OmNo is a German-language learning app. This page explains, in plain terms, what information the app collects, why, and how it's kept safe. If anything here is unclear, contact us using the details at the bottom.
OmNo collects only what's needed to run your account and the app's learning features:
| Data | Why we collect it |
|---|---|
| Name, email, profile photo | Created when you sign up or sign in with Google, to identify your account and sync your progress. |
| Date of birth | Collected at signup to confirm you meet the minimum age (13+) required to use OmNo. Not shared or used for any other purpose. |
| Voice audio (microphone) | Used only during pronunciation and speaking exercises, to score your spoken German. Audio is processed for that exercise and is not stored as a personal voice archive. |
| Camera / photos | Only if you choose to attach an image (for example, to a flashcard or note). Nothing is captured without you actively opening the camera or photo picker. |
| Learning progress | Lessons completed, scores, and streaks, so your progress is saved and shown back to you. |
| Device notification token | Used to send you optional reminders (e.g. "continue your streak"). You can disable this in your device notification settings at any time. |
OmNo uses Google Sign-In, handled by Firebase Authentication. We never see or store your Google password — Google handles authentication and shares only your basic profile (name, email, photo) with the app once you approve it.
Your account and progress data is stored on Google Firebase's infrastructure, which encrypts data in transit and at rest. We do not run our own separate servers for this data — Firebase is the sole backend.
You can revoke Google account access to OmNo at any time from your Google Account permissions page. You can also contact us using the email below if you need help.
To permanently delete your OmNo account and all associated data:
If you no longer have the app installed, or need help, email us at omno_lla@pm.me with the email address associated with your account, and we'll delete it for you.
OmNo is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the "effective" date above and, where required, notify you in the app.
